Overlooking the sweep of Lyme Bay in the beautiful and unspoiled county of Dorset is The Seaside Boarding House, Bar, and restaurant.
Nestled on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Less than three hours from London or the Midlands, it’s a place to relax and recharge by the sea. From the creators of London’s internationally renowned Groucho Club comes an antidote to city life. The perfect getaway, holiday or just a (very) long lunch destination.
Inspired by a mixture of classic British Edwardian hotels and the Cape Cod paintings of Edward Hopper, The Seaside Boarding House Restaurant & Bar is a unique collaboration of old and new; lovingly renovated furniture and fittings from the 1920’s to 1980’s, marine salvage, nautical paintings and then touches like a fabulous collection of Peter Blake prints on loan from art dealer Paul Stolper, that fit perfectly with the ageless decor.
It should be a camp, a den, a fortress and a sanctuary of comfort and calm. The heart of the bedroom should be a magnificent bed. A bed that calls like a siren, enfolds and nestles you. A bed that then delivers you back in the morning feeling rested and ready to take on the day. Each of our nine bedrooms is within sight and sound of the sea, whether looking straight out across the water or along the cliff tops to Golden Cap or the Isle of Portland. Lovely bathrooms, some with a shower, some with a large claw-footed bath.
At the hotel, each room comes with a desk. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Guest rooms feature a wardrobe.
A continental, Full English/Irish or gluten-free breakfast is available daily at the property.
